Word Family Activities

Here are some fun word family activities:

Note: This blog post contains resources from our TpT store and our Amazon Associate store.

---------------------------------------------

When you use these recycled old egg cartons, don't cut apart the word family.

Each word family should be a "chunk."

At first, I tried to write directly on the egg cartons, but that wasn't super easy to read.

I dug around and found these old garage sale stickers.

Voila!

Colorful and perfect!

Garage sale stickers work great.

You may want to glue them down and seal the tops with Modge Podge.

Keep word family parts as a "chunk."

Here the -ore is chunked together:

Students manipulate the single letters to make words.

Single letters may be used for multiple word family parts.

Students love these!
